Okay, so the question is, is awareness in some sense a structural attractor? As in, is there, does it actually have an evolutionary function? Like, did it somehow, did it cause itself, did it bootstrap itself into being, did something cause it? We know that the mechanical cause is most likely the brain. But is there really like, is there like an evolutionary reason for awareness specifically existing? And the thing is, you could say no, there isn’t. And the reason is because, of the concept of a pea zombie, which is a human, exactly like a human, but it’s not aware. And there’s actually no logical reason why it should be aware, actually, because it’s perfectly logically possible for it to not be aware. So some people ask, why do we suffer? Well, suffering is just what certain repulsive forces feel like from the inside. The actual question is, why do we feel anything at all? This is weird, because rocks don’t seem to feel anything. Plants actually may also not feel anything because, they may be too big to feel stuff, they may be too big to feel stuff. They may be too big to feel stuff, at least as like whole beings as possible. Though I think there’s several theories that may actually suggest plants do feel stuff. I’m not really sure if they do or not, but they might not. So, if rocks don’t feel anything, and we assume plants don’t feel anything, why do humans and animals feel stuff? That’s weird, because there’s no logical reason why a human and an animal must feel something. I suspect if there’s no logical reason. I suspect if there’s no logical reason, it has to do the fact that pea zombies are not actually possible, except as a result of an animal. Like, for example, AIs were built by humans. So the reason they actually look sentient is because they were actually built by us. So if consciousness is a law of the universe, then it’s probably a law that something that acts like it’s aware actually is aware, and if it’s not aware, then it must have been built by something that is.
