So you seem to think Plato can’t possibly be right about a world of forms existing because you don’t think there’s a universe that has forms inside it because that defies Occam’s razor. Well, what if I were to tell you that that world is just a model that Plato is claiming to be objective? That is not an extraordinary claim. At least the world part isn’t. The objective part might be, but the world part is not an extraordinary claim. These ideas did get weirder with people trying to use them to justify the existence of their gods, but eventually Jung rescued the gods by putting them where they belonged at soul level. Although you could argue that the Neoplatonic pyramid actually still makes a good structure for archetypes. For one thing, the Prophean Naus makes a good concept map for humanity. It doesn’t actually make a very good concept map generally because it doesn’t contain every possible species, for example, of fish. But for a basic concept map for humanity, it actually works pretty well. So you say that just because we realize that sentience is being perhaps over-reified and over-attributed, different parts of the Neoplatonic pyramid means it’s useless. It is not useless. The pyramid, the structure of the pyramid still has value.
