So I was been researching exactly how individual the gods are supposed to be. And I think Dionysus was syncretized with Shiva at one point, but the Neoplatonists would not have viewed them as the same. And Edward Butler especially would not have viewed them as the same because he’s a hyper individualist. So I tried to see exactly how they might syncretize.
